Google Expands AI Capabilities in Pakistan with Launch of Personal Intelligence Feature
By Tanveer Ahmed :

Google has launched its Personal Intelligence feature in Pakistan, introducing a new level of AI-powered assistance that tailors responses based on users’ personal data and activity across connected apps.
The feature, integrated into Gemini, enables users to link services such as Gmail, Google Photos, YouTube and Search, allowing the system to generate more personalised answers by drawing on individual information. Users can choose which apps to connect, with all integrations turned off by default.
Powered by the latest version of Gemini, the tool is designed to better understand context and nuance, distinguishing between general queries and those requiring personal insights. This allows it to retrieve specific details from emails, images or browsing activity to provide more relevant responses.
Google said privacy safeguards are central to the rollout, emphasising that connected data remains within its existing security systems and is not shared externally. Users can disconnect apps or delete their interaction history at any time.
The system also provides references for responses generated using personal data, enabling users to verify information and adjust or regenerate answers if needed. However, the company acknowledged that the feature, currently in a testing phase, may occasionally produce inaccurate results or overly personalised responses.
Initially, the feature is available to paid subscribers, with plans to expand access more widely in the coming weeks. It is accessible web, Android and iOS platforms, allowing users to activate it through the Gemini settings menu.
