London:

I attended the PLASA Show 2025 in London from September 7 to 9 on behalf of The Other Side. The exhibition, held at Olympia London, showcased the latest in entertainment technology, including lighting, sound, and stage systems.

The event covered more than 20,000 square meters, with 537 companies taking part and over 7,000 visitors attending. Despite a transport strike in the city, the halls remained busy, especially on Monday. This year’s focus was more on lighting, along with new developments in sound and stage design.

More than 30 free workshops and talks were also held, covering topics such as artificial intelligence, digital change, and sustainability. These sessions highlighted how fast the industry is moving forward.

For Pakistan, the difference is clear. Our entertainment industry still uses old equipment, small budgets, and has little training. At PLASA, I saw how modern tools and skilled professionals make a big impact. Pakistan should also organize exhibitions and training programs to support growth in this field.
