PLASA Show 2025 Highlights Entertainment Technology in London

London: I attended the PLASA Show 2025 in London from September 7 to 9 on behalf of Every Sunday Online Newspapre & Magazine. The event was held at Olympia London, which is still under renovation but managed to host a very large and exciting exhibition.
This year’s show covered more than 20,000 square meters of space and brought together 537 companies, slightly more than in the past. Over 7,000 people attended, most of them from the UK, but also from Europe and the United States. Even though a transport strike made travel in London difficult, the halls stayed busy, especially on Monday, which is always the most popular day of the show.
The focus in 2025 was more on lighting technology, although there were also new developments in sound, stage, and installation systems. More than 30 free sessions were held, including workshops, panel talks, and discussions. Experts spoke about artificial intelligence, digital transformation, sustainability, and professional training. It was not just about displaying products; it was also about learning and thinking about the future.
Coming from Pakistan, I could see a big difference. Our entertainment industry often works with outdated tools, small budgets, and less training. Many companies use imported equipment but cannot always make the best use of it. At PLASA, I saw how advanced tools and skilled professionals make entertainment more effective and exciting.
For Pakistan, the lesson is clear. We need to build opportunities for professionals to learn new skills and experience global standards. Local exhibitions and training programs can help us reduce the gap. With proper support, Pakistan’s entertainment industry can also grow stronger and meet international standards.
