The PLASA Show 2025 is set to return to Olympia London this September, bringing together thousands of professionals from the global live entertainment and production technology industry for one of Europe’s largest trade exhibitions dedicated to lighting, audio, staging and audiovisual innovation.

Scheduled to take place from 7 to 9 September at Olympia London, the annual event is expected to attract more than 7,500 visitors and over 250 international brands, according to organisers. The exhibition will showcase the latest developments in concert production, theatre technology, broadcast systems, immersive visual experiences and live event engineering.

Organised by PLASA, the show has become a major meeting point for professionals working across the entertainment technology sector, including lighting designers, sound engineers, production managers, venue operators and technology manufacturers.

This year’s edition is expected to place strong emphasis on artificial intelligence, sustainability and workforce development as the industry adapts to rapid technological change and evolving audience expectations. Organisers say the seminar programme will focus on issues such as green touring, digital innovation, safety standards and the growing role of AI in live entertainment production.

Among the new attractions announced for PLASA Show 2025 is the launch of a dedicated Careers and Networking Hub, developed in partnership with industry organisations including Production Futures and Access Creative College. The initiative is aimed at supporting students, apprentices and early-career professionals seeking opportunities in the entertainment and live events sector.

The hub will host networking sessions, career talks, mentoring opportunities and professional development activities designed to address skills shortages and encourage new talent to enter the industry.

The exhibition floor will feature major manufacturers and technology companies presenting next-generation products in lighting, sound, video, staging and rigging. Audio demonstration rooms hosted by companies such as KV2 Audio and RCF will allow visitors to experience professional sound systems in specially designed acoustic environments.

Meanwhile, visual technology companies are expected to showcase advanced LED display systems, projection technologies and immersive production tools increasingly used in concerts, theatre productions and large-scale live events.

One of the most anticipated returning features is “Classic Gear Live”, an exhibition celebrating historic lighting and audio equipment that helped shape the modern entertainment industry. The display will include vintage sound systems, classic lighting consoles and rare projection technologies, highlighting the evolution of live production over several decades.

PLASA officials say the 2025 event reflects continued growth in the global live entertainment market despite economic pressures and changing audience habits following the pandemic years.

According to organisers, international attendance has continued to rise, with increasing participation from Europe, North America and Asia. Industry experts believe trade exhibitions such as PLASA remain important because they provide opportunities for face-to-face networking and hands-on demonstrations that cannot easily be replicated online.

The show will also host the annual PLASA Awards for Innovation, recognising products and technologies introduced over the past year that have made significant contributions to the entertainment technology sector. Winning products will be selected by industry judges and showcased during the event.

As demand for immersive entertainment experiences continues to grow worldwide, PLASA Show 2025 is expected to highlight how emerging technologies are reshaping concerts, festivals, theatres and live productions while creating new opportunities for creativity, audience engagement and technical innovation.
