A local court in the federal capital on Wednesday sentenced convicted killer Umar Hayat to two years imprisonment in a separate arms case linked to the murder of social media influencer Sana Yousaf.
Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka announced the sentence under Section 13 of the Pakistan Arms Ordinance.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs100,000 on the convict and ruled that failure to pay the fine would result in an additional one-month imprisonment.
With the latest verdict, Hayat’s cumulative prison sentence has now reached 23 years, while the total fines imposed on him stand at Rs2.6 million.
The development comes a day after the same court awarded Hayat the death sentence in the murder case of the teenage TikToker and imposed a separate fine of Rs2 million.
In a two-page short order issued earlier, Judge Majoka had also awarded multiple prison terms and fines under different charges connected to the case.
According to the verdict, Hayat received 10 years imprisonment along with a Rs200,000 fine under Section 392. The court further sentenced him to another 10 years imprisonment and imposed an additional Rs200,000 fine under Section 499.
The convict was also awarded one-year imprisonment and fined Rs100,000 under Section 411.
Overall, the court had handed Hayat a combined 21-year prison sentence in addition to the death penalty, along with fines totaling Rs2.5 million before the latest arms case sentence.
Sana Yousaf, who had turned 17 just a week before her death, was killed at her residence in Islamabad on June 2, 2025.
The teenage influencer had gained significant popularity on social media, with more than one million followers across various platforms. She had over 800,000 followers on TikTok, where she regularly shared lip-sync videos, skincare advice, and promotional content related to beauty products.
The case drew widespread public attention across Pakistan and sparked renewed discussions regarding the safety of women and social media influencers in the country.
