Pakistan’s armed forces on Thursday commemorated the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, paying tribute to the Pakistan Air Force and reaffirming their commitment to defending the country against future threats, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations.

The military described the events of the night between May 6 and 7 last year as a “defining chapter” in the country’s military history, saying the episode had strengthened national confidence and reinforced the resolve of the armed forces amid heightened regional tensions following India’s attack on Pakistan.

In its statement, the ISPR praised the professionalism, operational readiness and rapid modernisation of the Pakistan Air Force, noting that the force had continued to enhance its capabilities through the induction of advanced systems and the integration of emerging technologies designed for future warfare.

The military said the PAF had expanded its expertise in multi-domain operations, enabling it to effectively respond to the changing nature of modern combat. According to the statement, these capabilities have strengthened Pakistan’s preparedness to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“By mastering the skillful employment of multi-domain operations, Pakistan Air Force continues to consolidate itself into a future-focused and capable air power,” the statement said.

The armed forces also reiterated that Pakistan remains a peace-loving country committed to regional stability and security. However, the statement stressed that peace could not come at the expense of “honour, dignity and sovereign equality”.

The ISPR said Pakistan’s military remained fully aware of evolving geopolitical realities and regional military developments, adding that continued investments were being made in advanced technologies, strategic capabilities and professional training.

It also issued a warning to adversaries, stating that any future aggression against Pakistan would be met with “greater strength, precision and resolve” than what had been witnessed during Marka-e-Haq.

Paying tribute to serving personnel, the military acknowledged the sacrifices and professionalism of PAF members, describing their role as pivotal in defending the country’s airspace and national security.

The statement concluded by describing the Pakistan Air Force as “second to none” and a symbol of national pride, strength and confidence.
