Naseem Shah Ruled Out of PSL Matches After Injury Blow
By Sardar Burhan :

Rawalpindi Pindiz fast bowler Naseem Shah has been sidelined from upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches after suffering an injury, the franchise confirmed on Monday.
In a statement, the team said the right-arm pacer sustained a side injury during their recent fixture against Karachi Kings, forcing him out of action for the foreseeable future.
Medical staff are currently monitoring the 25-year-old’s recovery, with hopes he could return later in the tournament if his rehabilitation progresses well and he receives fitness clearance.
The franchise expressed support for the bowler during his recovery, describing his presence in the squad as highly valuable and saying they were looking forward to his return to competitive action.
Shah had a difficult start to the ongoing PSL season. He managed to take just one wicket in the match against Karachi Kings and went wicketless in his first appearance for the Pindiz, conceding 51 runs.
His injury setback comes shortly after he was involved in a controversy earlier in the tournament. At the start of PSL 11, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) found the pacer in breach of several clauses of its central contract and social media guidelines following a disciplinary hearing.
The issue arose after a post appeared on Shah’s X account during the PSL opening ceremony at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on 27 March. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had attended the ceremony as chief guest, where PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi introduced her to franchise owners and players.
The post from Shah’s account questioned the treatment of the chief minister at the event, prompting debate online. The fast bowler later said the message was not intentional and claimed his social media account had been hacked.
Despite the explanation, the PCB’s three-member disciplinary committee ruled that he had breached contractual guidelines and imposed a fine of Rs20 million.
