WhatsApp Introduces Two Accounts on iPhone and New AI Messaging Tools
By Tanveer Ahmed :

WhatsApp has announced a series of new features designed to improve messaging, file management and cross-platform accessibility, including the ability to use two accounts on the same iPhone.
The update also introduces expanded chat transfer options and artificial intelligence (AI) tools aimed at making conversations more interactive.
Two WhatsApp accounts on one iPhone
For the first time, iPhone users will be able to operate two separate WhatsApp accounts on a single device. The feature had previously been available only on Android.
With the update, users can easily switch between accounts within the app. WhatsApp will display the profile picture in the bottom navigation bar to indicate which account is currently active.
The company says the change is intended to make it easier for people who manage both personal and work accounts on the same phone.
Chat transfer across platforms
WhatsApp has also expanded its chat transfer capabilities, allowing users to move their entire conversation history from iOS devices to Android phones.
The improvement is designed to help users switching operating systems keep their messages, media and chat history without losing data.
Improved file and storage management
The update introduces new tools to help users manage storage more efficiently.
Users will now be able to locate and delete large files directly within individual chats. Storage settings can be accessed by tapping the chat name and selecting the “Manage Storage” option.
The feature also allows users to remove media files — such as photos and videos — while keeping the text messages in the conversation intact.
New AI-powered messaging features
WhatsApp is also adding several AI-powered tools supported by Meta.
These include sticker suggestions when users type emojis, allowing them to replace emojis with relevant stickers with a single tap.
Another feature enables users to edit photos within chats using Meta AI before sending them.
The platform is also testing an AI writing assistant that can suggest replies based on the conversation. WhatsApp says the tool is designed to maintain user privacy while helping people draft messages more quickly.
Gradual rollout
WhatsApp said the new features will be rolled out gradually to users in the coming weeks through app updates.
The company says the changes are part of its ongoing effort to make messaging more flexible, particularly for people using multiple devices or switching between smartphone platforms.
