Bangladesh Beat Pakistan by 11 Runs to Win Decisive ODI Series Match

Bangladesh national cricket team defeated the Pakistan national cricket team by 11 runs in the third and deciding One Day International, clinching the series after a closely contested match in Mirpur.

Pakistan won the toss and chose to field first, inviting the hosts to bat. Bangladesh posted a competitive total of 290 for five in their allotted 50 overs, setting Pakistan a target of 291 runs.

In response, Pakistan fell short despite a strong effort, finishing on 279 runs at the end of their innings.

Bangladesh build solid total

Bangladesh’s innings was anchored by Tanzid Hasan, who scored an impressive 107 runs. Contributions also came from Litton Das with 41 runs, Saif Hassan with 36 and Najmul Hossain Shanto with 27.

Towhid Hridoy remained unbeaten on 44 to help guide the hosts to a strong total.

For Pakistan, Haris Rauf took three wickets, while Shaheen Shah Afridi and Abrar Ahmed claimed one wicket each.

Agha’s century in vain

Pakistan’s chase was led by Salman Ali Agha, who played a superb innings of 106 runs from 98 balls. However, early setbacks saw Sahibzada Farhan and Moaz Sadaqat dismissed cheaply for six runs each.

Other contributions came from Ghazi Ghori with 29 runs, Mohammad Rizwan with four, Abdul Samad with 34 and Saad Masood with 38.

Pakistan needed 14 runs from the final six balls, raising hopes of a dramatic victory. But the pressure proved too much, and Afridi was dismissed on the last delivery, leaving Pakistan stranded at 279.

Bangladesh bowlers seal victory

Bangladesh’s bowlers played a decisive role in defending the total. Taskin Ahmed took four wickets, while Mustafizur Rahman claimed three and Nahid Rana picked up two wickets.
