US-Iran conflict intensifies as both sides exchange fresh strikes

Islamabad: The military conflict between the United States and Iran entered its 12th straight day, with both countries reporting new attacks that underscored the continuing escalation of hostilities.
The United States launched fresh strikes on military targets inside Iran, while Tehran said it responded by attacking American military bases in Kuwait and Jordan, raising renewed concerns over security in the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea.
Iranian media reported explosions in the cities of Sirik and Bushehr, while missile strikes were also reported near Ahvaz. The governor of Bushehr said a power plant located close to the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant was among the targets hit in the latest US operation.
Iranian authorities also said a US missile strike near the Shalamcheh border crossing killed two people.
Meanwhile, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that American forces had carried out another round of military operations, describing them as the 12th consecutive night of strikes ordered by President Donald Trump.
According to CENTCOM, the latest operations targeted Iranian military infrastructure, including maritime assets, missile and drone storage facilities, coastal surveillance positions, and air defence systems.
