The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast rain and thunderstorms in Karachi on Wednesday and Thursday, with the possibility of heavy showers in some areas.

In an early warning alert, the Met Office said the weather is expected to remain cloudy, with intermittent rainfall accompanied by thunder and strong winds.

Authorities have cautioned that gusty winds during showers could pose risks to weak structures in certain parts of the city.

Daytime temperatures are expected to range between 33°C and 35°C, while minimum temperatures may remain between 21°C and 23°C. Humidity levels are likely to stay high, between 75% and 85%.

Residents have been advised to take precautionary measures, avoid unnecessary travel during adverse weather, and remain in contact with relevant authorities in case of emergencies.

Karachi experienced similar conditions earlier in the season, when light winter drizzle brought temporary relief from dry weather and led to a slight drop in temperatures.
