PSL Unveils Logo for 11th Edition as Preparations Begin for Expanded Season
By Sadia Khan :

The Pakistan Super League has officially unveiled the logo for its upcoming 11th edition, signalling the start of preparations for the highly anticipated cricket tournament.
The league’s official account on X (formerly Twitter) revealed the new branding, which creatively incorporates the Urdu word for eleven “گیارہ” with the numeral “11” prominently embedded into the design.
The logo launch comes as the league gears up for what organisers describe as a historic season, scheduled to begin on March 26 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
This year’s tournament will mark a major expansion for the competition, with the number of participating teams increasing to eight for the first time.
In the opening fixture, defending champions Lahore Qalandars will face tournament newcomers Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen. The match will be preceded by a colourful opening ceremony in Lahore.
In a key development ahead of the season, the franchise previously operating as Sialkot Stallionz has been officially rebranded as Multan Sultans following a strategic partnership and majority takeover by CD Ventures.
As part of the restructuring, Gohar Shah has been appointed as the new chief executive officer of the franchise. The rebranding, approved by the Pakistan Cricket Board, has increased the team’s valuation from Rs1.85 billion to Rs2 billion and marks the return of a franchise representing South Punjab.
Speaking to the media, PSL Chief Executive Salman Naseer confirmed the opening match details alongside representatives from the franchises.
He said the first leg of the tournament would be largely centred in Lahore, with the full match schedule expected to be announced soon.
Naseer also confirmed that discussions were ongoing about potentially hosting a PSL match overseas to engage the Pakistani diaspora, as the league seeks to further strengthen its presence as a global cricket competition.
