Cold Mornings, Dry Days to Mark First Roza Across Pakistan: PMD
By Sadia Khan :

Large parts of the country are expected to witness mainly dry weather on Thursday, the first day of fasting, while cold conditions are likely to persist during early morning and nighttime hours, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
In the federal capital Islamabad and adjoining areas, the forecast indicates dry conditions throughout the day. However, people heading out for the first sehri and iftar of Ramadan may experience a noticeable drop in temperature during the early and late hours.
Most districts of Punjab are also expected to remain dry. Upper parts of the province are likely to feel colder during the morning and night, while light fog may form in northeastern areas, potentially reducing visibility for commuters.
In popular hill destinations such as Murree and the Galiyat, dry but chilly conditions are forecast, particularly outside daytime hours.
Across Sindh, the weather is expected to stay mostly dry, with relatively moderate temperatures compared to northern regions.
Similarly, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is likely to experience dry weather, though upper areas may remain cold in the morning and at night.
In Balochistan, dry conditions are forecast across most districts, while northern parts may see lower temperatures during early and late hours.
Meanwhile, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are expected to remain cold and generally dry, with the possibility of thunderstorms during morning and nighttime periods.
Overall, the mainly dry conditions are likely to support routine travel and outdoor activities as families begin Ramadan, though residents in upper and northern areas should prepare for lingering cold spells.
