PM Shehbaz Meets President Zardari to Review Political, Economic and Security Situation

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr, where they held detailed discussions on the country’s political, economic and security landscape, along with key regional and global developments.

According to an official statement issued by the Presidency, the meeting focused on ongoing governance challenges, national stability, and Pakistan’s position in the changing international environment. Both leaders exchanged views on strengthening institutions, improving economic indicators, and addressing internal and external security concerns.

The high-level meeting was attended by several senior government officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, and Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema.

Also present were Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr Syed Touqeer Hussain Shah, political affairs advisor Rana Sanaullah, Senator Sherry Rehman, and MNA Raja Pervez Ashraf.

The leadership reaffirmed their commitment to close coordination between the presidency and the federal government to ensure political stability, economic recovery, and effective policymaking in the national interest.
