The Punjab government has approved a major initiative to develop the province’s first-ever digital profiling system, aimed at improving early threat detection and strengthening the ability of security agencies to counter terrorism, organized crime, and cyber threats.

The project carries an estimated cost of Rs. 334 million and will be executed in two phases with Rs. 204 million allocated for the first phase and Rs. 130 million for the second. Once both stages are complete, the system will become fully operational.

This new digital platform will serve as a key element of the Punjab Intelligence Fusion and Threat Assessment Center, which will act as the main hub for gathering intelligence and coordinating security responses.

The system will use advanced tools to track and analyze high-risk individuals, groups, and entities, including foreign organizations. It will rely on open-source intelligence and global data on geopolitical developments, regional conflicts, and emerging security issues. The technology stack will integrate real-time video analytics, artificial intelligence, and automated data processing to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.

Officials stated that the platform will allow security agencies to detect suspicious activity faster and respond more effectively to potential threats. It is also expected to play a crucial role in combating cybercrime, financial fraud, and digital misinformation campaigns.
