In a recent update from the International Cricket Council (ICC), Pakistan’s batting maestro, Babar Azam, has once again claimed the coveted No. 1 spot in the ODI rankings.
With an impressive 824 rating points, Azam dethroned India’s Shubman Gill, who was temporarily sidelined for the ongoing series against South Africa.
Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli follow close behind
Securing second place is India’s emerging star Shubman Gill with 810 rating points, while the renowned Virat Kohli holds the third spot with 775 points. The reshuffling in the rankings reflects the dynamic nature of cricket, with players constantly vying for the top positions.
Meanwhile, England’s leg-spinner Adil Rashid has ascended two places to claim the pinnacle of the ICC T20I bowling rankings. This remarkable feat places him above Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan and India’s Ravi Bishnoi. Rashid becomes the second English player to attain the No. 1 T20I bowler ranking, following Graeme Swann’s achievement over a decade ago.
